Victorian Geek

I am a Computer Geek turned Historian fascinated by nineteenth century technology. Wrote my first program in Fortran in Analytical Geometry class in 1970 and spent the next 15 years programming professionally in Fortran and assembly language. Ada Lovelace was always one of my heroes as well as Grace Hopper and I wondered what happened to her image in society after the 1980's when there was a lot of Ada bashing.
